Safia Bin Zaqar Museum

Mixed use cultural exchange center on a 3,600 m² plot in Jeddah, designed to house the owner's art collection alongside private studio and rental office space.

Project Overview

The Safia Bin Zaqar Museum was conceived as a mixed use building on a 3,600 m² plot on Wali Alahed Street in Jeddah. The architectural program brought together a cellar and parking, a museum housing the owner’s artworks and significant private holdings, and a private ground floor studio connected to the upper roof house via a dedicated elevator.

Scope of Work

The original design also envisioned three additional levels of rental office space with two storefronts specializing in business activity and art acquisition. MOK Architects prepared the full design package and coordinated authority approvals for the project.

Delivery

The project was not built out to its full original design; the executed scope was limited to the ground and first floors. The building has since served as a private cultural and museum space in Jeddah.
