Aljaleel Mosque

Ottoman style mosque in red brick and concrete on a 1,500 m² plot in Jeddah's Al Jameyeen district, with capacity for 1,000 worshipers across men's and women's prayer halls.

Project Overview

MOK Architects designed and managed the implementation of Aljaleel Mosque in Jeddah’s Al Jameyeen district, an Ottoman style mosque built in red brick and concrete on a 1,500 m² plot. The mosque accommodates approximately 1,000 worshipers across separate men’s and women’s prayer halls.

Project Program

The mosque opens with a 1,260 m² ground floor and a 650 m² mezzanine. The complex includes separate ablution and lighting provisions for each section, dedicated housing for the muezzin and imam, on site parking, and surrounding green areas.

Scope of Work

Our office prepared the full architectural design in a distinctive Ottoman idiom, and managed the project from design through commissioning, including authority coordination and technical oversight throughout construction.
